The idea
Wind, waves and current make pulling a boat alongside a pier or into a slip difficult. Boat fenders get pushed out of position, so Sav-A-Dock bumper guards mount permanently to the dock itself, right where contact happens.
The patent
Sav-A-Dock was developed on Lake Martin in Alabama by a team of inventors with a background in aerospace, and it is the only boat dock bumper guard system to be awarded a full U.S. utility patent.
